Local Highways & Climate Resilience

Climate UK, in association with the Environment Agency, ADEPT, Department for Transport and CIHT presented a series of workshops on Local Highways and Climate Resilience across England during the summer of 2013. On 15 July in Wakefield local highway stakeholders concerned with the maintenance and development of local highways were able to increase their understanding of how extreme weather can impact on highways and what can be done to assess and manage those risks. The new resource called Creating and Managing Resilient Local Highways has been produced for stakeholders and can be downloaded along with presentations from the day at the bottom of this page.
