This was an evening seminar hosted by the City of York Council targeted at developers in North Yorkshire and York. It provided small scale developers with knowledge and guidance on delivering sustainable development, including cost effective solutions with real life examples of schemes in the region.
Delegates were given the opportunity to learn more about the benefits and costs of building developments to Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM standards, the benefits of using the C-Plan energy assessment tool and an understanding of how to retrofit energy efficient measures into heritage buildings. The presentations were delivered by specialists including:
- Andy Sheppard, Arup
- Charlotte Harrison, mass architecture
- Helen Heward, City of York Council
- Derek Latham, Lathams Architects
A demo of the c-plan tool detailed in the presentation can be found at the link below.
