Following the launch of UK Climate Projections (UKCP09) on 18 June 2009, and to complement national ‘Projections in Practice’ events, Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber and the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Change Partnership organised a week of events hosted in, and tailored to, the region.
The Projections in Practice week was a series of free events, aimed at equipping delegates with the information they need to assess the risk climate change poses to their business or organisation. There were general sessions open to all, technical ‘hands-on’ sessions, and more detailed sector-specific workshops.
The localities day featured presentations on the key impacts and likely adaptive measures along with table top discussions led by local authorities in the region who were already at levels 1 and 2 of the indicator.
