The UK is legally committed to meeting 15% of energy demand from renewable sources by 2020. Achieving this will help meet the UK's energy security and carbon reduction objectives. Your Climate in partnership with Climate UK were commissioned by the Department of Energy & Climate Change to host this event as part of a wider series across the country. Events explored how local authorities can be supported to take positive and proactive action on renewable energy, in particular onshore wind, in the context of localism and the National Planning and Policy Framework.
