Our Adaptation Network meets from 9.30am on Wed 9 October at The Orangery in Wakefield for a special local government focussed meeting. We welcome guest speakers including Adrian Hilton from Climate North East - talking about the new Severe Weather Impact Monitoring System 'SWIMS' - you can sign up to take part in the second pilot phase at the meeting. We'll also hear from Lucy Breeze from the LGA about the Climate Local initiative and from Dr Alice Owen from the University of Leeds on their MSc programme and the opportunity to host student placements in the summer of 2014. Finally, the group will receive a presentation from Your Climate and the Environment Agency on the recently published National Adaptation Programme (NAP).
