Formed on 1 October 2006, Natural England is the Government’s statutory advisor on the natural environment in England. Our purpose is to ensure that the natural environment is conserved, enhanced, and managed for the benefit of present and future generations, thereby contributing to sustainable development.
As a Board Member, you will ensure that Natural England fulfils its aims and objectives set by the Secretary of State. You’ll have the chance to help establish our strategy, approve its direction, and review the performance of the organisation. Your commitment will be 37 days per year, including up to six Board meetings held mainly in our headquarters in Sheffield.

We seek a motivated individual, a self starter and initiator with excellent client facing skills and an enthusiasm for the subject. You will bring tangible sustainability related skills and experience, together with a positive and proactive team-working attitude.
You will join the Sustainability Discipline at WYG. The team provides support and solutions for all stakeholders within a range of sectors, including construction, manufacturing, education, health and commerce, throughout the UK, Ireland and on an international basis. Essential to this role is a thorough understanding and suitable qualification in BREEAM.

We need an enthusiastic and motivated person to help us deliver our Education programme, here at RHS Garden Harlow Carr. You’ll use your knowledge of plant science and love of the outdoors to enthuse everyone with the natural environment using our lovely garden and not to mention having a whole lot of fun along the way.
