The Department of Energy and Climate Change is holding a free training roadshow in Newcastle on 28 November to help social housing providers and their contractors get to grips with the new standards for installing heat pumps.
DECC has worked closely with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme to revise its guidelines for installing small heat pumps. The roadshow is designed to explain the new guidelines in order to ensure good performance of heat pump technologies. The roadshow will help housing associations to understand how best to specify, procure and manage heat pump installations, reduce risks and generate low cost, low carbon heat for tenants.
The sessions are specifically designed for asset management, housing or sustainability staff within housing providers. The roadshow will be interactive, helping participants to get to grips with the details of specification, the costs and benefits of heat pumps, maintenance, resident training, contracts and commissioning.
Places for the DECC Heat Pump Roadshow can be booked online at http://heatpumps.eventbrite.com/ .
