Join the Your Climate Adaptation Network for a special event to mark the launch of the Adaptation Sub Committee's latest progress report covering business, infrastructure and public health.
Meeting in Wakefield on 9 July from 9am - 12noon, we will link up live to London to hear from Dan Rogerson, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for water, forestry, rural affairs and resource management who will provide an opening address.
Professor Lord Krebs Kt FHR will then present the findings of the ASC’s analysis. This year the report will focus on the risks to infrastructure, business and public health; it will also update previous analysis on flooding, and consider the current capacity in the emergency response system to handle climate extremes.
Delegates in Wakefield will be able to submit written questions to the speakers via our live-link up and using social media. Copies of the latest report will also be available for delegates to take away.
We are pleased to announce that discussions covering the three themes of the ASC report will be lead locally by three guests:
- Cllr Tracey Simpson-Laing (Deputy Leader, York & Health & Wellbeing Chair, York H&WB Board)
- Andy Clarke (Asset Manager, Yorkshire Water)
- Paul Taylor (Sustainability Manager, Camira Fabrics)
This will be your chance to help shape Your Climate's work programme for the year ahead.
