Low Carbon & Renewable Energy Capacity in Yorkshire & Humber

This exciting study was commissioned by Local Government Yorkshire and Humber to assess the resource potential for renewable and low carbon energy generation across the Yorkshire and Humber region. The findings of the Y&H Renewable and Low Carbon Capacity Study provide an evidence base to assist sub-regional stakeholders and local authorities in the preparation of their own targets, strategies and policies for renewable and low carbon energy development.

It was originally intended that the results of this study would be fed through the now obsolete Integrated Regional Strategy process. However, the Department for Energy and Climate Change are keen that the study is implemented at a local level and forms the basis of further detailed local studies and policy development.
