BITC Environment Leaders’ Group Climate Change Awards launched

The 2011 Business in the Community Climate Change Awards have now been launched. Any business or organisation in Yorkshire and Humber can enter the awards for free. The award categories are:

Carbon Reduction Award - for the organisation in the region which can best demonstrate a holistic, integrated and sustainable approach to reducing its carbon footprint.
Innovation in the Low carbon Economy - recognises an organisation that has managed to turn the low carbon economy into a real business opportunity.

Deadline for entries is Friday 6 May. Full details and the entry pack can be found here [3].

Are you ready to take the Environment Index Challenge?

The 2011 Yorkshire and Humber Business in the Community Environment Index is still open for entries, any business or organisation with an office or site in Yorkshire and Humber can take part for free.

The Environment Index in offers businesses and other organisations the opportunity to measure their environmental management and performance. It also offers enables participants to benchmark their performance against their peers in the region. For more information click here [2].
